About Me

Ensuring Compliance,
Inspiring Confidence.

NEBOSH IGC-certified aspiring HSE professional and engineering graduate with over six years of experience in high-accountability roles involving compliance, documentation, coordination and stakeholder management. Trained in hazard identification, risk assessment and workplace safety principles, with practical exposure gained through the NEBOSH IGC2 workplace risk assessment. Seeking an entry-level HSE opportunity where I can apply my transferable professional experience and safety knowledge while developing hands-on industry expertise.

After six years spent making sure paperwork, permits and processes were airtight for other people's safety and compliance, I wanted to apply that same discipline somewhere it protects people more directly — which is what drew me to HSE.

Practical Evidence

NEBOSH IGC2 Workplace Risk Assessment

The NEBOSH IGC is assessed in two parts — IGC1 is theory, IGC2 is a hands-on practical risk assessment of a real workplace. This is genuine applied HSE work, not simulated coursework, though it was completed as part of the qualification rather than as paid employment.

01

Objective

Carry out a systematic risk assessment of a live workplace, identifying hazards a Safety Officer would realistically encounter on site.

02

Site Walkthrough

Physically walked the workplace to observe work activities, equipment, layout and existing safety arrangements first-hand.

03

Hazard Identification

Identified hazards across categories — physical, mechanical, ergonomic, fire, and chemical — using structured observation techniques.

04

Risk Evaluation

Assessed likelihood and severity for each hazard against existing controls, using the NEBOSH 5-step risk assessment method.

05

Control Recommendations

Recommended additional controls using the hierarchy of controls — elimination through to PPE — prioritised by risk level.

06

Formal Report

Documented findings in a structured report to NEBOSH standards — the same format expected of a working Safety Officer.
